Scott sang for 15 years in a community chorus he helped administer and teach, bringing new singers into very competent performances of great classical choral works such as Mozart’s Requiem and Handel’s Messiah, and celebrating the life of the Spirituals expert Sylvia Olden Lee at Carnegie Hall. In 2017, through the encouragement of his teacher, Maestra Carmela Altamura, Scott began his study of the solo voice, traveling to Osimo, Italy for masterclasses and to Krakow, Poland for a Concert of Peace.

 

With the pandemic sidelining studies and performances, Scott became a gluten-free baker in Corvallis, Oregon with a focus on breads, cookies, and pastries. He has had a lifelong interest in cooking and nutrition, enjoying making dishes from scratch from basic ingredients.

 

He has returned to New York to take up his studies again.
